26 Mar Dermapen Skin Needling or Microdermabrasion
What is the difference between a Dermapen and Dermasweep?
Dermapen
Dermapen is a small hand-held device, which uses multiple needles to create micro-punctures in the skin with minimal pain, known as a skin needling treatment). Your skin has a self-rejuvenating function that is optimised by the micro-needling process. As your skin heals it produces collagen, which improves fine lines, skin texture, pore size, pigmentation and acne scarring. This treatment is also known as “collagen induction therapy.”
Dermapen is ideal for:
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Acne Scars
Stretch Marks
Pigmentation
Sagging Skin
Dermasweep
Dermasweep is non-invasive deep exfoliation treatment using similar technology known as microdermabrasion with the added benefit of infusion serums to nourish the skin. This procedure emits tiny (micro) diamond shaped crystals onto the skins surface, which remove superficial dead surface cells improving your skins elasticity, texture, colour and overall appearance. We offer four different infused solutions, depending on your individual needs and skin concerns:
Rehydrate-EPH:
A combination of hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, chamomile and panthenol is used to rehydrate.
Renew-EPC:
A powerful antioxidant vitamin C with sodium hyaluronate helps to combat the signs of ageing by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Acne-EPS:
A medicated solution of salicylic acid & witch hazel is used for the treatment of acne and clogged pores.
Hyperpigmentation-EPA:
A blend of azelaic acid, kojic acid, lactic acid, bearberry and licorice root helps lighten hyper-pigmented skin conditions.
This treatment is known as the “lunch hour procedure” since there is no discomfort or downtime afterward.
Which treatment is right for me?
Choosing the correct option will depend on the nature of your beautification goals and also lifestyle factors. If you feel your skin is looking dull and dry and you wish to improve your complexion, a Dermasweep is likely ideal for you. If you were looking to improve fine lines and wrinkles, we might suggest the Dermapen.
The treatments are both means of exfoliation, however the Dermapen will also stimulate new skin cells. The Dermapen goes deeper into the skin due to the very fine needles whereas Dermasweep targets the surface layer of dead skin cells. For maximum results, we encourage you to have both treatments.
We recommend that you book in for a consultation in either Newcastle or Singleton to find out which treatment is right for you.
