Tixel

Tixel

Tixel is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment designed to safely and effectively improve skin tone, texture and firmness.

Using Thermo-Mechanical Ablation (TMA), Tixel delivers targeted heat to the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen production without the need for lasers or needles. This can help smooth and refine the skin, with minimal discomfort and downtime.

Tixel is suitable for a range of skin types and concerns, including the delicate eye area.

How Does Tixel Work?

Using Thermo-Mechanical Ablation (TMA) to deliver controlled heat directly to the skin’s surface. A titanium tip, that reaches temperatures of 400°C, briefly touches the skin for just a few milliseconds, creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries. This process stimulates natural collagen and elastin production, helping to improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and hyperpigmentation.

Each session takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes and can be customised to different levels of intensity, making it suitable for both mild skin rejuvenation and deeper resurfacing.

What areas of the face does Tixel address?

Tixel is designed to address multiple areas of the face and a range of common skin concerns. It is particularly effective in treating:

Periorbital (around the eyes)

Upper and lower eyelids

Cheeks and forehead

Around the mouth

Facial scarring

Jawline and neck

Acne scars

Wrinkles and fine lines

Pigmentation

Sun damage

With no reliance on radiation or needles, Tixel can be safely used on sensitive areas that may not be suitable for other skin treatments.

Understanding Tixel and it’s Three Modes

Using the energy of heat, Tixel tightens and rejuvenates the skin. It offers three levels of intensity to suit different skin concerns.

Ablative Mode

The ablative mode (removing tissue) is the most intensive Tixel device setting. It uses high heat to create micro-channels of controlled damage in the skin’s surface, which stimulates your body’s natural collagen production and skin regeneration.

This mode is suitable for skin tightening and resurfacing, helping to address deep lines, scarring and uneven texture.

Non-ablative Mode

The non-ablative mode heats the deeper dermal layer while leaving the surface of the skin intact. This creates open channels that enhance the absorption of serums and topical treatments. It’s commonly used to address sun damage, pigmentation, acne scarring, and age spots. The non-ablative mode offers effective results with less intensity and reduced downtime compared to ablative treatments.

Open-channel Mode

The open-channel mode is the gentlest of the three settings. It does not break the skin or cause visible injury but instead opens temporary micro-channels to allow skincare products to penetrate more effectively. This mode is ideal for improving overall skin tone and texture, and is well suited for maintenance or those new to skin treatments.

How Tixel Compares to Other Skin Rejuventation Treatments

While traditional ablative lasers remove layers of skin and often require extended downtime, Tixel achieves rejuvenation by creating microchannels in the skin with controlled heat, allowing for faster recovery. It provides similar results to laser resurfacing and microneedling through an alternative method.

Compared to microneedling, which creates physical punctures, Tixel avoids bleeding and reduces the risk of infection. It is also safe for a wider range of skin tones, as it carries a lower risk of pigmentation changes.
