Ribbon Lift

About Endotine Ribbon Lifts

Ribbon lifts use Endotine devices shaped like ribbons, which are surgically placed underneath the skin or muscles to slightly lift and reposition facial tissues.

The device is designed to gradually dissolve over time. This occurs once the scarring in deeper tissues cause the facial tissues to assume their new position.

Ribbon lifts may be combined with adjunctive procedures or treatments, depending on the facial area and specific concerns.

How Ribbon Lift Surgery Works

The Endotine ribbon implant is a thin flexible strip of plant-based bio-absorbable material that is used to secure your neck profile in position.

The ribbons are surgically inserted underneath the muscles of the lower face and attached to the tissues around the bones either behind the ear or in front of the ear, above the hairline.

When the repositioned tissue binds fully in its new position, the device dissolves and is absorbed on its own. As the ribbon dissolves and is absorbed over time, collagen is stimulated.

Endotine Ribbon Lifts Procedure for the Lower Mid-face

A Ribbon Lift involves inserting an Endotine bioabsorbable suspension device into the lower cheek area that lifts.

Your body’s healing process starts to lay down new tissue in this position and the device eventually dissolves. The ribbon utilises multiple points of contact to suspend delicate mid-face tissue and is easily adjustable according to the patient’s unique anatomy.

Jaw and Neckline

The most common patient requests for procedures include double chin reduction surgery and lifting of skin in the jaw area.

The Endotine neck lift implant secures your jawline and upper neck profile. Then, as the repositioned tissue binds fully in its new position, the device dissolves and is absorbed, tightening the pre-existing laxity of the upper neck. The entry point for the ribbon is a small, usually undetectable incision behind the ear.
